Humify is a young start-up which follows an exciting new approach to bind atmospheric CO2 while increasing soil fertility and food quality at the same time. Read more on our webpage about it. We are a young, active, and positive research team who wants to expand after receiving EU funding in a transnational project on agricultural practices of the next generation.

We are looking for a process engineer (m/f/d) in the development of a production process of Novel Biobased Fertilizers

Aim: Design, build, and test equipment for hydrothermal processes
Fields: Instrument building, Hydrothermal Processes, Food Processing
Project:
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a sustainable technology to mitigate climate change and improve the health of soils.

Tasks

using process simulation software to work out the most efficient production methods in hydrothermal processing.
building prototypes and scaling up the hydrothermal process.
managing the development and layout of new process lines and plants.
designing and testing of the stages of the production processes.
working with other professionals to ensure processes and premises are safe and do not have a detrimental effect on the environment.
collecting the data needed to make simulations, improvements and modifications to processes and plants.
investigating and troubleshooting problems with the process and equipment.
scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets.
ensuring that equipment works to its specification and to appropriate capacities.
liaising with installation/project engineers.
managing and training other engineers.

Requirements

Degree in chemical or process engineeringengineering.
Background in food processing development or hydrothermal processing is preferable.
Outstanding team players who can work in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
Good command of English is required. German knowledge is beneficial.
